JD 2010 Power Steering.

Hello,

I am new to the tractor world. We have a small farm. We bought a 2010 for a good price and seems to be a decent little unit. Lacks a little power but it is working.

Last night clearing a path of tall grass to look at a old cattle shettler. I lost my turning to one side (left side) but still turns to the right fine. Is the power steering fed from the hydraulic pump? I dont think its a pump issue as it turns the other way fine.

Yes 2010 power steering is supplied pressure from hyd pump that also supplies the 3 pt hitch. I cant imagine what would cause PS to only have steering assistance in one direction unless control valve is faulty. I'll suggest you acquire a JD technical manual for your 2010.
