JD 2010 pto slipping

Hello everyone,

I am in need of some advice, I was bailing with my jd 2010 and all of the sudden the bailer stopped. I have used this bailer and tractor for the last 4 years and I have not had a problem. When the bailer is hooked up nothing happens but when I take the bailer pto shaft off the tractor and engage the pto it turns fine. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Nothing else has changed and no new noises. I tried hooking the brush hog up to the tractor and the tractor will not operate that so I know it has to be the tractor.

I know it is slipping that's what my title is... I don't know why it would be slipping thou, the cause and the solution.

Worn clutch, clutch out of adjustment or oil damage on a dry clutch.

Is there a separate resivior for the pto?

2010 pto clutch resembles a clutch that runs in oil to me but without a tech manual I'm just guessing.

Is there a separate reservoir for the pto?

Does the parts book show any details of the design ?

Before sinking too much $$$ into a 2010. It maybe time to go shopping . As green as I am , I would prefer a 265 Massey instead of a 2010.
