JD 2020 Rockshaft control and Quadrant???

Does anyone have pics of a properly configured/assembled JD 2020 Rockshaft control lever and quadrant? I don't believe mine is 'complete', there are no detents/stops and the lever will move on it's own from a low to high position unless I jam it to the floorboard. Looks like the lever has been bent approx. 2 inches from the quadrant face and there is nothing keeping it in any set position.

I don't have a pic of mine right now, and the tractor is 3 hours away. I will be heading out to the property next weekend and will get pics for comparison then.

In the meantime, if anyone has a pic of a known good one, I would appreciate you posting it.

It sounds as if you are missing the friction device. Items 8, 10, 11 and 21 is a pin, washers and spring washers that engages the lever and the slot in the quadrant. The spring washers apply a drag to the quadrant so it stays in place.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. But still need a pic of an assembled, properly configured unit to compare.

Parts 7 &13 are the stop that you can set for reurning to the same spot each time after raising when you lower again.

If control lever moves on it's own while engine is running then I'll bet these are missing or not snug enough.

Not sure if it's the same as a 2030. I could get a picture of it. Mine slowly rises. might be the spring washer is worn out. Never thought of replacing it until now.

Spring(friction) washers put just enough resistance on control handle causing control handle to stay where it's placed to overcome the spring inside rockshaft housing .
