Good morning everyone. Just had to replace the gears in my 2020's transmission pump. The gear teeth broke apart. Have been trying to figure out what could have caused the teeth to shear. My question to all the JD experts is whether or not the transmission pump is in direct line with the tractor's rear pto? I have been running a Brown tree cutter bushog clearing some land and I know it puts a great deal of stress on the pto drive train. Could the tree cutter have had anything to do with the gears breaking? I have repaired the tractor and it working fine now, but am not sure I want to put the tree cutter back on the tractor. May have been a coincidence, but just want another opinion. Not really interested in breaking my tractor into two pieces again ... Not fun.
Thanks, David
