JD 2032R Cold Feet

You can have my green cap, I don't wear it anyway. I wish I could sell it or trade it for some diesel fuel.

I have the 2720 and it's great. I don't know how much different the 2032 is aside from the new pollution controls but it looks like the weight stayed the same. The Kubota is quite a bit heavier which would be a deal breaker for some who want the added weight, but if you're just doing light FEL work like I do you'll like your tractor. It's very maneuverable in the dense woods, which is the majority of my 2.5 acre lot, and it doesn't trench the lawn as bad as a heavier tractor might. Dozens of 80-foot pine trees that die, fall over, or drop branches every year keep my PTO chipper busy but I don't mow or till anything with it. I don't know how this size CUT is with tilling and brush cutting so I'll defer to the experts. The Kubotas are nice tractors but I don't like the treadle. I like the JD pedals and the layout of the operator station overall.

I have a friend who grew up on a farm and all they used were Case machines. They hated JDs and said they were painted green so they'd blend in when they were abandoned in the hedge row. Sorry all you JD owners. If a Kubota guy uses that one on you just say his looks like a traffic cone or something.

Good luck with your new tractor. It's a great privilege to have a machine that's capable of doing so much around your property when you need it.

Between the two you mentioned I would go with the Kubota since you would get a heavier, more powerful tractor for the same money. However like others have said go drive as many brands as you have local and make a decision based on which one you like best, is most capable, priced best, fits your needs best. The color of the machine really isn't important and in the end only you have to be happy with it.

like the other guys said, it just depends on what you are going to use it for. We have two smaller john deere tractors where I work and they are great for what we do with them. My Kubota that I have at home is bigger but then I use it for different things than we do at work. All nice tractors.
