I have a 1973ish JD 2130. The hydraulic system can't support both keeping an implement lifted and using the rear remote for hydraulic cylinder use. I use this tractor to operate a tree shaker. When I start the tractor the 3-pt lifts the implement fairly quickly and holds it in the up position. However, when I back up to a tree to clamp it I crank up the RPMs then start closing the clamp on the tree using a hydraulic cylinder attached to the rear remote. As I am doing this, I see the 3-pt starting to lower. So, I have to stop the clamping action to let the 3-pt catch back up, which it does quickly. Then, once clamped, I have to drop the RPMs to engage the PTO to operate the shaker. If I don't do this is a highly coordinated way, I lose the clamp and that's not a fun thing.
So, after all that said, what could be causing this to happen? Pump going bad? Screens dirty? Filter dirty? Something else?
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
