Hello everyone.
Noticed oil leaking onto the rear rim right side, possibly on the left side too. But definitely the right side. 1089 hrs. Called JD dealer for quote to change a $6.00 seal. Told me it was 20 hrs labor at $100 per hr. $2000.00 Also told me the transmission had to be dropped. I have the JD Technical manual CD. I've seen somewhere someone did the job and didn't remove the transmission.
And while everything is opened up, should I also change the bearings too? Anyway, no luck finding videos online.
If anyone has done this themselves, any advice on how they did it and what tools were used to do the repair would be appreciated.
