Mowing JD 2210 mower deck attaching kit

Just got my 62C deck delivered and I am about to install the attaching kit. Noticed on the parts list that it calls out for (2) Lift Rod Assemblies (item E the part with a yoke on each end). Is this correct? Looks like there should only be one of these required on the left side of the machine. Is this another JD error? Could someone please look at their machine and advise. Also if anyone else has installed this kit is there any tips that you can give me. Looks like a simple installation to me. Thanks for the help, Ken /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

<font color="green">There is only a single 2 foot long lift rod assembly that goes on the left side of the tractor. There are however two shorter lift link assemblies, one for each side but these only have a yoke on one end.

The real trick will be to adjust both the length of the longer lift rod as well as the two lift links so the mower height control knob will turn 360 degrees. From past postings this is something dealers have not done correctly. It was not done correctly on my tractor.

I've had a 2210 since Feb and I'm 99.9999% sure there is only a lift ROD on the left side - it engages the LH 3pt arm and there is nothing like this on the right side. There ARE two lift ARMS, one for each side of deck.....

As far as advice, take your time in getting the deck level side-to-side and follow the manual regarding the deck having a downhill rake (front of deck slightly lower then the rear). Make sure your tire pressue is correct on all 4 tires and know how your tractor "sits" before setting up the deck.

Also check page 6 "installing" in the mower deck manual and make sure your lift rod is the right length, people have had issues with it set too long (deck not raising high enough).

I agree, the basic install is pretty straightforward.
