Hi, I just got my 2210 yesterday and i got it with the front blade and the loader with a 61inch bucket. The problem is that when I lift up the blade while on the tractor it only lifts 4 or so inches. I'm just wondering if this is correct or if this is a problem becuase I really don't like how low it is. My old 316 with the blade lifted a foot or more. so i would think this would lift higher. Also if this is correct then is there anthing I can do to change it'?'

Thanks Collin Corso

Hello Collin,

Congrats on the new 2210! Sadly the blade only lifts up that little bit. The 316 and 318 do lift about 14" and it would be nice for ours to do that too.

Somehow we are going to have to get used to the 4"-6" (book says 10" but that is BS) on the 2210. Until I get my friend to weld the brackets in a different spot, for the cylindar. On the other hand, we can now lift the front tires about 4" into the air (if only there was a use). It's because they use similar parts for the bigger tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Best of luck!

thats to bad, I was plowing some snow today and I kept getting stuck because I could not lift the plow high enough to get beyond the snow bank. But thanks for the info anthony, I appriciate it.

Same issue with the snowblowers too. Too bad Deere didn't build a bit more lift into the design. It's not such a big issue with the blower as you can blow away the banks.

I don't have a blower but is it possible the angle could get too big, if the lift cylinder was relocated? I am considering rewelding the brackets but want to make sure this won't cause a problem with the blower drive shaft in the future.
Then again, you could always leave the original brackets... and just add a second pair that would give you the choice down the road.

For now, I have not time to approach this situation anyway!

My guess...and it's just a guess...is that the hitch needs to maintain compatability with the 4xx/X/4xxx implements. That includes brooms, blowers etc, which are driven off the front/mid PTO. Already the 2210 had to go to a two driveshaft arrangement (compared to the 4xx) and that has a pretty steep angle when raised. So, if you never had plans to use a front PTO driven implement, then you "probably could" modify the lift height.
