Can anyone help me with my '92 JD 2355? I recently repaired a hydraulic leak on the loader after losing a fair amount of hydraulic oil. The hydraulic pressure seems poor now. Stupid question, but do i need to bleed the system of air or simply put more hydraulic oil in the system?

Also, I seem to have to try cranking the engine 2-4 times before it actually fires on cold starts (i'm in Texas, so the term "cold" is used loosely), Is there a "warm up time" that the electric needs to be on before starting, like in an older diesel pickup?

Thanks

Make sure your trans fluid level is up to the full mark. Raise and lower your loader several times, fully extend and retract the lift cylinders and tilt cylinders. Completely lower and raise the rear hitch several times, also turn the steering wheel from lock to lock. Check your fluid level and add oil as necessary. Use John Deere Hy-Tran fluid.

You may have an air leak in the fuel system. The fuel line may be getting leaks and need to be replaced or it may be sucking air at the fuel filter. You shouldn't have any problems starting the JD engine. If there's no air leaks, the injection pump may need to be rebuilt if the tractor has high hours on it.
