Look in the baler manual for the procedure to properly adjust those springs. Your clutch should actually get just a little warm after baling for a while if the springs are adjusted properly. Too tight can cause a whole bunch of problems, expensive problems. Also suggest getting proper JD springs when you have time to deal with it and have them shipped to you.

Thanks Barry, I will get the correct springs for the sprag. It seems to be working fine am just about finished so will have time to get the right stuff.
