Have you thought about getting the tech manual from Deere? They are worth the money, IMO, if available.
Someone may also have that manual, and be gracious enough to post some pics that will help you. Mine doesn't cover that model. Sorry.

Depending on s/n the paper tech manual from JD is $95 to $120. The same manuals on CD are $50 to $60.

Every now and again they come up on eBay. Usually about half of the Deere price. OEM books.
(I'm starting to get a stack of 'em next to the bed...)
(Maybe my wife has a point - she thinks I need "tractor therapy"!!)
Been lookin' at those 2640's for several years, now. Plenty of hp to run a small sq baler, small size to clean the barn and corral, and I could haul it on my trailer!

To get part numbers, you can register for FREE at www.jdparts.com and look up anything on your machine. It's the same basic system the dealer uses at the parts counter. I have a quick little tutorial linked in my signature if you need it

That's the answer I was just coming to document, KennyD! I had been to deere.com of course but finding the manual was confusing and when the guy from my local farm equipment parts supplier gave me the web address he was using it prompted me to log in so I figured maybe it was an internal manual for commercial outfits with their own special access. Plus the shopping pages I found there were so lacking (nothing like the parts catalog pages) that I didn't pursue it. I did eventually find it myself purely by accident anyway.
