I recently purchased a slightly used JD 2720 and need to buy a Bush Hog.

I will be using for mainly keeping the woods controlled along the paths and driveway, versus using it
for tall grass or weeds. Mostly very small saplings and vines, brush etc....

I'm thinking a 5 foot Frontier might good, but wanted advice on width and brand?

My neighbor uses a 4' Frontier with his 2520. But, he has tackled some larger brush with it, too! So, if you're not gonna take on 3" trees the 5' might be just fine. Heavier, larger shrubs, trees, etc. might be too much with a 5' cut.

Good information. Maybe the 5' versus the 4' would be a good choice for reaching into the sides of the trails.
