I have 35 hours on a 4720 with the 400cx and a 2305 w/200cx and find the quick-tach system very, very handy. I do not find it flimsy and have gotten used to it's operation. It does operate a bit differently than my old orange tractor which had a stout, capable loader. However, I like the self-leveling feature of the 400cx. Although it seems a bit slower than my old loader, the 400cx can lift more and I like the springs located at the corner section of the loader which helps dampen and stabilize loads when driving them over uneven terrain. I lose less out of the bucket with the 400cx. Overall, I am satisfied with the JD system, but can't say it's far superior to my older loader...but far handier so far. What else are you looking at? Share some of your findings with the tractors you're trying out. Good luck.
