Thanks to everyone for the feedback. If I go with the JD I will probable move up to a 3320. I find it strange that the price qoutes I have been gettting for the JD and NH TC33DA are about the same. Most comments indicate that the NH should be less expensive. I don't need the machine for a few months so I have time to shop around. Thanks again!

I think you would be happy with either. I would say go for the most horsepower you can afford at the time of your purchase. You would not regret this decision. I do think if you buy too small you might be disappointed. I would say that Matthew's tractor is one of the cleanest, nicest machines I have seen. He has done a lot to it. I think that all in all, going with a 3320 in the JD or even a little more is a solid decision. In the NH, similar would be the case. The mid framed JD's are the perfect size. They are big enough to do heavy work, but are small enough to manuver well and not damage turf when mowing.

New Guy,

I was in the same position as you are. Both are great machines and you will not go wrong with either. However, the 3320 is the better match to the TC33DA. If you use the competitive comparison on the NH website, it matches the 3320 to the TC33DA.

New Holland Competitive Comparison

With that said, I would vote for the 3320.

* I fealt the operator platform was more comfortable and less cramped.
* The loader control placement fealt natural to me.
* I like the electronic hydro (eHydro) pedals.
* I love the loadmatch feature.
* More loader capacity. (2125 vs 1596 lbs)
* More 3PH lift capacity. (2220 vs 1635 lbs)
* More hydraulic pump flow for hydraulic attachments. (13.9 vs 7.6 GPM)
* More fuel capacity. (13.5 vs 7.3 gal)

I opted for the larger R4 Marathoner tires and I really like them. They seem to be a little more forgiving on turf than the standard R4 tires.

I opted not to get my tires loaded since I'm also using this for finish mowing. With that said, the loader is extremely powerful and can easily lift the rear without loaded tires. I need to add more ballast weight to compensate for the lack of loaded tires. I have also pondered rear wheel weights.

The one thing I don't like about the new 3x20 series is the front 3-point hitch used for the front mounted snow blower, rotary broom, etc. I preffered the older method used on the TEN series. The New Holland method seems to be a little better as well. If you get a chance, try to see both front mounting methods in person to compare them.
