i have a 91 jd 316 and the fuel gauge doesn't seem to read anymore, which is agravating while mowing and running out of fuel. it has the gauge built into the fill cap on the tank. i called my jd dealer and they want a small fortune for a new one. is there a simple fix for it, or a cheaper than factory replacement?
