My 3520 must have a problem in the control valve. It has the electro diverter switch for the remotes, in my case top and tilt. If I let it sit with loader raise it will drift down 8" in an hour. Same with the top and tilt.
Anybody else had this problem on the 3x20 series?

I've got the same setup on my 3320 and the loader will drop gradually with the engine off but haven't really noticed the top and tilt doing it since I almost always drop the implement to the ground before shut down.

i have 3520 with electric diverter as well with a fit rite hydraulics top link. It NEVER bleeds down. Check your relief valve and make sure that it is closed fully. As for your loader, I dont know first hand because i do not have a loader yet, however, i have read of this issue with several people but i will stay out of it becuase i have no real world experience in the matter but check your relief valve on the side of your diverter for the top and tilt

I first noticed an issue using the mower and after a while the right side of the mower was dragging on the ground. I just kept raising it back up. I'm going to check the relief valve...

Yep, my 3320 won't keep a bucket tilt with a load. Besides that a great machine!

I have just been trained like a dog to keep on tilting the bucket back when I use it.

Maybe the cylinderes are bypassing....and it is not the valve.
I noticed that the cylinders on the loader are not chromed and are probably not of the quality of the cylinders on the yellow equipment.
To me it is not acceptable for them to drift.

Unfortunately if you check what John Deere says is acceptable for leakage, you most likely will not be very happy. The 8" sounds really bad to me and probably would get repaired under warranty. I know that for all of our compact tractors that there is an acceptable leakage amount and most of us would be unhappy with our tractors if they leaked that much. But that doesn't change the fact that there is an industry std set that does allow for some leakage.

It has been my experience that most of the time the control valve is what leaks and not the actual cylinders themselves.

Update:
Tractor is at dealer. Faulty spool valve out of spec.. Valve on back order, should ship next week.
I added the vertical exhaust and it looks great and should work even better.
This is the first time I have ever sent a JD in for warranty work....oh well.

Hopefully the new spool valve will resolve the issue. Deere warranty is second to none, IMHO. I've had several JD tractors over the years and have not used the warranty much but never had any arguments when needed. There are two local JD dealers that will even pickup and deliver the tractor for warranty work w/o charge . Nice to keep in mind when buying equipment.
Good luck with your new tractor.
