Anyone know a good source for the shop manual, preferably on CD/DVD?

Why your local John Deere dealer of course

The JD manuals are available over the parts counter, and are reasonably priced.

Kenny, I'll give the a try. I was just curious if there were any 3rd party publishers. I'm used to car/truck mfr's charging confiscatory prices

for those manuals. And I'd be very pleased if John Deere resisted that urge.

I bought the 4610 tech manual on CD from JD. List price was $80 but my dealer sold it to me for $65. If you get the CD, copy it to your hard drive. It's nothing but a big pdf file .
