Hello, Members.
I have JD 410 backhoe has some issue that loader boom respond very slowly after 20-30 minute operating the tractor.
I am sure It was not hydraulic pump problem because backhoe boom and bucket cylinders works fine even after some time operation.
So guessing the boom cylinders or control valve are leaking internally.(I don't see any leaking out side.)
Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

If you lift the front of the machine off the ground using the loader, will it hold in that position, or leak down?

Thank you for replying
Yes.
it is leak down immediately that meaning it needs to replace the both cylinders seals.
If so, is it hard to replace the seals myself?
I see the aftermarket seals(part no: AR105402) sold for $ 25 on ebay or less but The oem seal is more than $ 125.
what do you think. I am using the backhoe for my property once a while.
Thank you again

If 1 seal is leaking it will not hold. When the machine is cold start it up hold the loader control leaver on curl for 1/2 min. then feel the top of each cylinder the one that is warmest will be the one to replace the seal. I'd go with a $25 seal kit there's not much to them.

I very recently had a tractor bucket that wouldn't hold & having read that method here or some place thought it would be worth a try . The temp. was was only slightly warmer but the result was I took the right cylinder apart to fix. 20170621_123607.jpg

Finally I have time and trying to remove cylinder rod. But it seem to me very hard to remove the snip ring.
Did any member have experience to remove it and sharing the expert? will be appreciated.
