Hello to the most intellingent folks who know so much about tractors. I am amazed at all the help from you all!!
Which brings me to my question(s)...I have been looking at a Mahindra,Kioti, and John Deere. JD is a 4110 hydro,Mahindra is a 2615 hydro, and Kioti os 25 hp,hydro. I have a 14 acre pasture to mow plus grass around the house. I really like the john deere, but not as many horses as the others. I bought a NH tc24 last year, but was absoutly not happy with it. Dealer was great, but product was not. I am looking for guidence on which of the 3 above may be the best in the long run.
Thanks for your time and help!!

I have a 4110 and feel it could handle the tasks you described. But... what was it about the New Holland you didn't like? If it wasn't big/powerful enough, you should buy bigger than the 4110.

The new holland probably had enough power, but even on the slightest inclines where I had to mow,it felt like it was going to turn over on me. Even with the fel on,it kinda felt like it would roll. Maybe it was more narrow than I thought.BElt kept coming off, bolts vibrated out.And I got stuck with it a few times where I had to go get my big tractor to pull it out with.I really liked the looks of it,lites were were real good and brite, but saftefy was a big concern too.
Will a 4110 pull a 5' bush hog ok? Is it capable of lifting an 800 lb round bale?
thanks!

Given the amount of acreage you are dealing with, I would get a bigger machine.....I have a 4100 HST and mow my 2 acre field with a RMM and it takes me a good hour and half to do it if the grass is tall. I would look at a larger tractor (i.e. 4310) with a large mower deck like a 272. The 4110 is a great machine (I love my 4100), but you can't be too comfortable when mowing 14 acres /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The seat and platform on the bigger JD(s) is far superior to the smaller JD(s) in the comfort department.

That's a good thought. I only have x amount of dollars to spend. What's your thought on a Mahindra 2615? That's a 26 hp instead of a 20.I don't know much about them,we do have a local dealer here in good ole southern Illinois, and I have looked at these also. It's actually about the same price as the 4110.I priced them both with fel and mmm.Seems like a good solid tractor but can it live up to the expectaiotns of JD?

I don't know anything about them.....sorry.......the other option is a used larger JD or Kubota.......BTW, my brother just priced a new B7800 with loader for less than a new 4310 without bucket /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Hello and welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Take some time and go down to the Mahindra forum and read through some of the posts you'll find there. If you don't find the kind of information you're looking for, ask the question in that forum. I'm sure of the Mahindra owners will be happy to give some feedback.

Good luck on your decision! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

One of the reasons (other than dealer support) that I didn't go for the TC24 was that I felt like I was perched on top of it and the JD4110 felt more like I was sitting lower and I felt more comfortable because of that even on flat ground. I've since been told that the seat is only a few inches higher, but it felt like more to me. I can't explain that.

As for a 5ft bush hog, I guess that depends on what you're cutting and how fast you want to go, but I believe there are folks who use a 5ft on the board. Hopefully one of them is reading this thread.
