JD 4115 Tractor - Advice on Attaching Hydraulic Log Splitter

I have a JD 4115 utility tractor and I cannot get an unknown brand name log splitter to work on it. I have four (yellow, silver, black, green) female connectors at the side of the tractor, but cannot get any combination of the hoses to work. I have attached pictures of the log splitter and the female connectors on the tractor. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Those connections are for your loader.
You need to hook the splitter up to the rear SVC. (aka: rear remotes) Place the control lever in the detent position, (it should lock either all the way forward or all the way back) and then your splitter valve should work.

i don't currently have any rear remotes. so from what i'm hearing, there is no way of hooking them to the side remotes and i need to install, what i think they call, ports beyond?

Do you have a control valve for the side remotes?

You can power the log splitter valve if you have it connected to the correct paired quick disconnects by using a bungee cord to engage the tractor hyd control valve.
