USMC.27 will the machine move if you select another range using the range shifter?

It doesn't matter what range it is in, or if 4 wheel drive is selected, it still does the same thing (or doesn't do the same thing however you want to look at it). I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, heck I haven't even tried to unload it from the trailer. I appreciate all the advise from you guys. I am going to start by cleaning the screen as kennyd suggested and go from there. I will let y'all know how the progress is going.

I also have a 4200 with almost 1000 hours on it and the same thing happened to it back in the late winter while I plowing snow. The machine locked up and would not move in either direction without stalling the engine. I was able to get it into neutral using the range shifter and pulled it into the garage. After splitting the rear section of the transmission I found one of the range gears frozen onto the pinion gear destroying the pinion. Two thousand dollars and several weeks later, it was back together and it is still having issues. I just added this issue to the growing list of issues I have had with this machine over the past ten years.

Your symptoms sound very similar to what I had wrong and I as well hope its not the same. If you get into the transmission and you find gulled and burnt bearings, a word of advice, tear the transmission completely apart and clean everything. Split the front as well as the back halves of the trans housing, run cleaner through all steel and rubber lines to get all foreign debris and metal shavings out. Unfourtunatly I did not do that with my machine and now I'm having issues with it not coming to a stop on an incline. I feel it is metal and gunk in the hydraulic main pump that attached to the flywheel.
