beenthere, thanks for the attachment. I think I remember reading about the swash plate bushing previously concerning the same problem. Perhaps this is also something to consider.
I am not using JD low-vis hygard, but instead a jd20C equivalent oil, and I reason that because it stops perfectly after reversing, it can't be the oil. My tractor has 2600 hrs on it, and by the looks of it, it has not been the easiest of work. I had a 455 earlier that had same problem, except even worse, so I am surprised that there are not more complaints or queries of this out there.
