JD 4300 Power Beyond Question

My JD 4300 currently has neither a power beyond or backhoe.

As I understand it; the power beyond kit includes a pressure outlet, return connection, and a hose to connect to the rockshaft valve. The rockshaft hose being normally connected to the outlet. In installing a BH the rockshafts aren't used beyond mounting, so the outlet and return are connected to the Hoe, with the hose to the rockshaft capped and disabled.

My question is can the power beyond outlet and return be connected for other uses and still have an active and working rockshaft control. Do you have to add a "tee" connector to leave the rockshaft connected.

The Power Beyond setup actually consists of three connections: supply, return to sump, and return to rockshaft. When the BH is not in use, a hose connects the supply and return to rockshaft connections. When the hoe is mounted it is connected to supply and return to sump, thus disabling the rockshaft. You can connect other attachments between the supply and return to rockshaft ports if you want the TPH to remain operational. Hope this helps.

Maybe I don't understand but wouldn't the control valve for the extra attachment (say a log splitter) block supply flow to the rockshaft control? Also wouldn't the rockshaft control block the flow from the return on the splitter?

I guess I just don't see how it will work but maybe I don't understand the actual hydraulic design. Thanks for the help.

I figured it out--- my splitter valve does not provide for power Beyond. I will have to get a different valve and it will use the return connection. Sorry about my ignorance.
