Oil & Fuel JD 4310 suddenly stopped starting

I hear a click from the fuel shutoff solenoid when I first turn key but I see in the schematic there are two coils in the solenoid with one energized from start relay (K2)
and the other energized from shutoff solenoid relay (K3 which I checked). K3 is controlled by fuel solenoid timer module (K6). I think this is my problem. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this modulerelay
or have any suggestions as to what may be keeping the fuel solenoid from fully opening.

Have you tried just re-jacking the relays? I don't know were your starter relay panel is located on the 4310 on my 3720 it is directly below the steering column. I had the same problem and pulled the relays, blew-out the dust and putting them back fixed the issue. Your owners manual should show you the location if not reset them all, as I recall there is only 6-relays in the panel.

Not sure about the 4310, but the thermistor on the 4300 is a notorious problem. Best bet is to change the wiring so that the starter solenoid sends power to the higher current "peak" side of the coil so that it lifts it during starting, rather than relying on that thermistor. This is how the older x55's were done and it worked just fine with the same solenoid. I forget which color wire it is, but you can troubleshoot by jumpering +12 to it for a second to lift the pintle, the hold coil should be okay but you can check power there.
can also briefly short across the thermistor.

I should mention that you can pull the solenoid off the IP pretty easily and check to make sure it's operating when you rotate the key AND when you crank, just be ready for oil to come out. I'd have the injector nuts cracked so there is no chance of starting while cranking, I can't remember if it pushes or pulls to kill.
