Our 4310, which worked perfectly yesterday started this morning but won't keep running. Starts every time, but then only runs for about 30 seconds and dies....any ideas?? We are NOT mechanically inclined, so can't check much ourselves...

Sounds like fuel filters. When were they changed last. Also check your air filter box. Mice can build nests in there restricting air flow.

I'm guessing fuel too...but it could be a safety switch going bad (although that should prevent the tractor from cranking).
Since britanniacreek admits he isn't mechanically inclined, I have to suggest the tractor goes to a dealer...poor troubleshooting can result in a simple problem made worse...

Does your manual explain how to replace the fuel filter? That sounds like the culprit. Fairly easy to do, if the procedure is followed.

If not obvious, either ask here again for what is understandable and what isn't for additional help, or do as suggested and go the dealer route.

Prob fuel. But are any lights on or flashing? Either on dash or by the switches on the top of right fender?

If the fuel filter change doesn't do the trick, I had to push compressed air up into the fuel lines because of debri in my fuel tank.

Yes, the operator's manual does describe the procedure to change the filter as well as draining the water separator.
