JD 450B Clutch Adjusting Tool

I have a John Deere 450B Crawler Tractor with a steering problem. The service manual says to use a JD364 Clutch Adjusting Tool to adjust the clutch release levers.
I do not know if they are the problem but I have not been able to locate the tool. The local dealer says that John Deere forbids the sale or renting of essential tools.
Does anyone know where I can locate one of the tools?

I have been purchasing JD tools from my dealer. If it is called out as normal maintenance and even a special process I think you should have the ability to purchase that tool knowing that you own that piece of JD equipment. I think the dealer is blowing you know what up your you know what. The dealer needs to order the tool, probably it is not on the system and he needs to do it manually, add a markup etc. and give you a price. Go to a different dealer and or call JD direct explain your problem that this tool is called out to adjust something and go from there. Later

Check another dealer. Also check into a non OEM service manual such as published by I&T. Often they will give alternate methods to using proprietary special tools.

Lots of times a service manual will give you the measurements to build your own tool. Maybe someone with a service manual can scan it and post.

Dealers with attitude make me mad.
