My Son was a mech at JD, Said cheaper to sell current and buy a tractor with Econ pto.
You should be able to get the full 25KW out of the tractor if you need it. I have a 50HP diesel driving a 25KW genset currently. You won't be on econ pto though.
The issue that some have with tractor pto is: Genset diesels have much better govenors than tractors , and hold speed more tightly thus keep power frequency closer to 60hz. If you are running fairly light, the difference may not be noticeable. The larger the load swings the more the problem will show.
Glad it worked out. I want to get a small pto for around the farm. Currently I have to tow the welding trailer out to job sites I want power at. I have a 15KW fixed standby genset that takes care of 90% of my needs during power outages.
