JD 4520

I need any info that might be out there on the 4520 CUT. I have a Bota(38hp gross) now but I think that I need around 50 HP (gross) to do the task that I need to do. My JD dealer is close so I will ask if he has one on the lot. I will go with a shuttle type tranny if I can get it that way. BTW my Bota dealer has become to sucessful and does not care to deal with the little guy any longer. Thanks gals & guys.

my unit: 4520 with reverser transmission, R4 industrial tires, 400cx self leveling loader, 4in1 bucket, pallet fork, hi-vol bucket/bins (home brew) and rear hydraluics. 448 BH, 513 rotary cutter, 5' tiller (brand x)
Likes:Lots of power. handy for loading from piles. heavy lift capacity. Easy to operate. BH mount-dismount very quick and easy.
Dis-likes:Hydraluics leak down too much. (Blame cylinders, I have p-tested the valves, they are holding.) Fuel filter is cartrige, I liked the see-through I had on 4300. trans-hydraluic dip-stick is a pain to reach when BH is on (and a bigger pain to fill) Front steering cylinder does not have greese zerks.


Would I buy same again: Yes. I might consider woods 4-in-1 and electric valve in place of JD.
