2 lawn tractors, shopping for real one.
Recently compared specs for a Century backhoe vs. JD 47. Identical to the decimal point. I know Kujke (sp?) - who manufacture Century- also makes some JD tractors. Could this be the same hoe?

4 years ago when I bought my 1st JD48 hoe I found out they were the the same as Bush Hog. If I rember correctly at that time they were made by Allied.

Hey, wkrpig, how goes it?

I just happened to sit on one at a dealer. Maybe on paper they sound alike, but it was about half the mass of my 47. Ir was very apparant from the operators station. The frame and cylinders were all substantially smaller, although the reach was the same. looked kinda spindly.

Maybe we aren't talking the same models?

I loked it up on the web. It DOES look the same, I guess there is more reason to suspect a local dealer on what I saw....

But, I can't imagine the attachment is the same. Deere's s SO slick!!

But the one I saw locally sure was SORRY! and it cost MORE than mine...
