You can try the JD dealer but their kits tend to be expensive. Or, if available, try here. Hercules Sealing Products. If you get it from hercules, it will come in the same package as from JD. ;) So, guess where JD gets them.

Call your local hydraulic shops. Some rebuild them for less than what the kits cost from the dealer. They also may have a kit in stock.

Try baumhydraulics.com

I looked on jdparts. I think the stabilizer seal kit is P/N AM36221. Baum has it for $8.27.

You have to create an account. It's free and simple. Login, and click on the parts manual in the left pane. Do a search on the model "47", you will get a list of things with 47 in the model number, scroll to the backhoe and just search the list for the stabilizer hydraulics. I typically do the pictorial view.

John Deere seems way ahead of everyone else in their online info, I say that in total ignorance of any other tractor brands site info so I may get jumped on for the comment, but what I really mean is that I am amazed at the content. Exploded drawings of every component on every part on every JD tractor made in the last 20 or 30 years. It can tell you the price and even if the part is in stock at your local dealer. Amazing. I am a very computer literate old man, one thing that helped in my decision to go Green was their website. It is not perfect, but jdparts is amazing. I used that word three times, and with due cause.

JDParts does take a little getting used to, but you have to learn to think like a "parts guy". I think it is "amazing" also:D

You can buy the CD version of the backhoe technical manual from Deere for around $30 or so. It is a PDF of probably ever model CUT backhoe Deere made or makes, very detailed and generally just a good read. I love the manual along with the one for the 3x20 tractor series. It is another amazing thing about Deere and Co.

Torque the piston nut to 140 ft/lbs.
