JD 47 Snow Blower for x595 Question

Hi,

My father is looking for a JD 47 Snow Blower for his x595. I found a used one on CL for him that was on a x475. He is trying to find out what he would need to purchase to get this blower to work on his x595. From looking at JD's website it looks like the blower, quick hitch, implement drive and upstop are the same from the 2wd x475 to the 4wd x595. Is only the 2000 rpm front pto kit needed to get this blower to work. Does this front pto kit include the stub shaft that will be needed to be added to the front axle? If not, does anyone have the part # and price for that part? His local dealer told him he will have to buy $1,000 worth of parts to adapt it. From my little bit of research, I do not think that is true. Thanks in advance for any help.

A few more/ better pictures I found. Unfortunately it still does not show the shaft that would run through the front axle. Any ideas?

you have it right, the short shaft in the picture goes thru
the front mfwd axle with bearings and seals to complete
the front pto kit for the blower. there is also a hydraulic shutoff
valve that comes with a new setup, that usually doesn't go with
used kits. that can be purchased separately and goes up behind the valve
and is the shutoff for the mower lift cylinder when using the front attachments.
it improves the spout control performance while the blower is on by eliminating
the mower lift cylinder taking oil in addition to the spout cylinder.

yes, it's item #3
here is the install instructions. this new kit has parts for the new
autoconnect tractors which you will not use (the little "C" clip and it's hardware)

Thank you so much for the information and the instructions. I passed the info along to my father and he was happy to hear it will not cost too much to adapt the blower. He is heading to his local dealer again to give them this part # and see about getting it ordered.

You will also need to swap the hydraulic lines end for end on the hydraulic cylinder for the spout.The lines then will need 4 90 deg fitting. They are standard fitting and expensive from Deere. 1/3 or less cost from hydraulic store. I got mine from Midwest Wheel, they supply semi repair shops.

I sold the old shaft for the 425-455 series on eBay.

he may be alright here, but worth checking out . the OP said the blower came off an X475 tractor which is similar to the X595,,
might need the hyd couplers though.....

Sorry, did not see that. I did a blower from a 425 to x495.
