Price Check jd 4720 is this good deal?

I found a used 2008 4720 with 130 houes with a 400 cx loader. It appears in very good condition. The individual is asking $25,000. I was wondering if this is a good deal. also I got a price on a new dk55 kioti for 25,500 with ag tires. what would be the better way of going. I have always liked joh deere. Im looking for a tractor to move round and square bales , brush hog with a 6 ft hd woods, and plow snow,

That seems like a good deal. I would tell you that the JD 4720 is a tough tractor to beat. It has a ton of power and can handle most jobs. The 400 cx loader is nice (and expensive) and 130 well-maintained hours is not many. Probably enough time to see if any problem areas would arise, which they almost never do anyway.

I do not know much about used JD prices but having purchased a 2008 JD4720 a couple of years ago it is a wonderful tractor which will do all the things you want. The price seems quite reasonable for the hours. I know I would not sell mine for 25K and I have more hours than 130 by a significant amount, but that is my opinion. Try a search and see if you can find a 4720 or even a 4520 on the web and see what they are asking.

I got a call yesterday from my buddy at the John Deere dealership. He told me they had a new (2008) 4720 with joy stick controls and what it needed for a fel for $22000.00. They also have a 4520 (2008) new for $20000.00. Sounds like a deal to me. How much do you expect I'd spend for a FEL and what else would be good to look for?

Based on my recent attempts to buy a good used (or new) 45-4720 -- those are GREAT prices!!

Loader prices (depending upon optional stuff added) will vary and the 400CX is gonna be $500-700 more than the 400X. A heavy duty bucket is more (of course) and the skid-steer attachment is more as is the 3rd SCV option.

That said - I think you can expect to pay in the neighborhood of $5000-5500 for the 400X and just over $6000 for the CX model with standard issue options.

I would buy the Deere over the Kioti. I think you will have better parts support and resale.

In your case I would buy the 4720 and loader of choice from the dealer. You should get the full warranty if it is a new unit. Seems like a good price to me. I think 60 hp is perfect for this size machine.

Well... of course that's all gonna be on the opposite end of the loader!

You could either plumb a Fasse (or something similar) electric diverter valve into the 2-spool loader valve (FEL) and route the hydraulic lines to the rear of the tractor OR you could install a Power Beyond circuit at the rear of the tractor and plumb an additional 2-spool hyd valve mounted at the rear of the tractor.

Either way, you will need 2 additional hydraulic circuits to operate the 2 cylinders for a top n tilt.
