JD 3320
Hi--have an opportunity to get a 4n1 bucket (used) for my 3320. In reading the many threads about controls and hose routing--what should expect to get with the bucket? I have the 3rd SCV--currently using for HTL. Would it be too much of a PITA to switch hoses from HTL to 4n1 when needed? What about the the cost--and how to--for the hard line option from JD? And finally--anyone used both the 3rd SCV control method and then the joystick switch--differences in installing after the fact? This is just a potential buy/swap off of Craigslist so sorry for all the questions--just trying to see if it will be possible and looking to make sure I don't get creamed with a bunch of extra cost after the fact. I'm not worried about losing the extra lift capacity (my standard bucket has the JD toothbar so pretty similar in total weight).
Thanks,

I have the Deere hard line kit on my 3320. It runs from my 3rd scv to the end of the loader to operate my grapple. I installed the kit myself and it was pretty easy. I have no trouble using the joystick then reaching for the other lever. It is not the fastest setup, but it works pretty good for me.
I would suggest reading up on grapple/4in1 discussion before buying to make sure that is what you want or need. JC

I have a 5' Frontier on my 3320. My dealer ran the hoses from the rear SCV to where the other hoses attach on the right side, installed couplers, then ran hose up the loader frame to the bucket. I think the kit was around $300 installed. I would not go any larger than a 5' bucket. I was advised by others on this forum and they are right. You will love the work it saves. Not sure what a HTL is so I can't help with that part of your question.

I want to add a top and tilt cylinders but am not sure how I will run that yet. I also had the power beyond added when I bought the machine. It really needs three outlets on the back.

Thanks guys--HTL is hydraulic top link--the first step in top'n'tilt. I don't really need this--but will trade out my standard bucket for it if the price is right.
JC--do the hard lines still allow you to plug something into the rear SCV couplers--or does it replace the couplers?

B8Fish; here's the kit on JDParts: John Deere - Parts Catalog

Looks like the hoses terminate at the rear of the tractor where you could use the 3rd SCV. With quick disconnects you could use your HTL or the 4n1. It would be complicated if you wanted to use both - at the same time...

Another option is to plumb a multi-valve using your PB circuit. You could have TnT and 4n1 all at the same time without having to switch QD's.

You are thinking of trading your bucket? Not sure I would do that...

Are you looking at the one in Rochester? It seems alittle high to me. It's lightly used but trading your bucket seems like a rip off. He wants too mucg for the 4 in1 and I'm sure will want your's for next to nothing. Last I checked a new 60" bucket was over $700. I've been eye'in a 4in1 myself but for what he wants I'll just but new.

Yep--in Rochester. Don't really need to do it, but if I could for a couple of hundred bucks--I would. I think that the 448 and 4n1 would make a good land clearing combo. That also means I don't need the 3rd SCV at that time (3PT stuff comes off with the hoe on) so that "problem" kind of goes away. We'll see what he says.

I would keep the standard bucket as well. My 4in1 won't hold as much as the 5' heavy duty bucket.
