jd 50 finished finally

finally finished up the jd 50. a few minor issues left to sort out. but it runs like new now. heres a couple of pics, once i get all the decals on i post some more. jim

Very nice!!! Get the decals on and you'll have a new tractor.

When I restored my "50", it ran better than when it was new. Not sure why, perhaps the timing was off all those years or something else. I had to get hotter spark plugs due to today's gasoline formula.

GOOD LOOKIN' TRACTOR! What brand of decals are you using. I like K&K Tractor's vinyl cut decals. (Shelbyville Indiana) They have a "painted on look". Are you going to use the 50 or is she staying clean and pretty? It's awful hard to throw 'em back into the dirt after all that work.

not sure about the decals yet. and she will be back to work this summer haying. she def runs like new and i finally got the hand clutch fixed for good. had to drill out the old bushings and replace them and all new linkage. this was only my 2nd tractor the 1st was my grandpas "h" which i did w/ him and my dad, only hes an oldtime yankee and we didn't touch the motor which it really needs. if it aint broke why bother w/ it he was always saying that.

If you haven't already bought your decals, try K&K on for size. Their product really is all that AND a bag of chips!
