Ok, I've got 60 hours on this tractor and I have had no issues using it. Except for one thing, and it's driving me absolutely nuts. It even drove me nuts enough to....GASP!...read the manual (the answer wasn't in there). How in the world do I turn this light on? I've looked high and low for a switch, I've tried the flasher switch, the turn signals and I can't find any way to turn this light on. The light I'm referring to is the oval light on the inside of the ROPS.

And no making fun of the dust on the tractor. It was from tilling up and re-doing a hayfield, not from just sitting in the barn.

On my Deere, it comes on with the driving lights. If yours doesn't, check the bulb.

On the 5000 series usually it has a switch for 5 settings. Off , flashers only, full lights no flashers, highbeam grille + flashers and low beam grille + flashers. Your tractor should have one of these, It should be turned on in the full lights, no flashers mode. If not, there is something wrong with that light. It could be the bulb, wiring, fuses.

It comes on automatically when you turn on your high beams.

Well, I tried all positions on the light switch as recommended this weekend and still wouldn't come on. I'll take the bulb out and replace it the next time I'm close to the Deere dealership. Hopefully that will fix it up. I'd hate to call in a warranty issue because of a light, but I will if I have to.

If you want, you can check out the bulb. Take off the grey plug. Then turn the socket to the left I think left or right then pull it out to see if it is dead or alive. Good luck.
