After some issues with starving for fuel after replacing the primary filter and checking for flow at the tank, I traced the fuel line and found an inline filter located between the steering wheel and valve cover. This required removal of the hood to change it. I知 sure it was easy to install during the building of the tractor but it is not easy to find much less replace with the hood installed.

It wasn稚 noted in the owners manual either.

Did replacing the inline filter solve the "issues" ?

Did replacing the inline filter solve the "issues" ?

Yes sir. I should have noted that the inline filter was the issue and the reason for this post was information for others. Not that I still needed help. During my time of need , I found no reference to this inline filter on line, so that is why I decided to share. If it痴 in the wrong place please accept my apologies. I am not a forum guru, just a country boy trying to utilize help and give back also.

They did the same thing with the 2025R Gen2. It is tucked up under the left floorboard. Not listed in the Parts Guide or the Service schedule. Dealer unaware of it. It is mentioned in the Operator's Manual on how to replace it but you have to really hunt for it.:mur:

Thanks gejandsons, and that part # of that filter would be helpful to others for future reference.

John Deere In-line Fuel Strainer - RE220719, but you could replace it with an aftermarket 3/8's barbed in line diesel filter like a Wix 33270..

It is item #29 here on JD Parts. Picture is confusing because the filter is between firewall and the back of the engine.

Isn't filter(key 2) shown in JD parts the one you replaced?

That's the one but the dealer's service documents didn't show it and they did not replace it when they did the 50 hour service. I pointed it out and got the deer in headlights look. I doubt they will come out and change it for free and due to surgery, I can't do it right now. I'm thinking of just putting a piece of copper tubing in it's place. I never had that filter on my 2305 for 14 years and had no problems. I don't use off road diesel. These are the pages the dealer gave me and I added the filter and part number.

I think your dealer should learn how to search for parts in JD part catalogs. That fuel filter was very easy to locate in parts schematics.
