Hey guys my loader goes half way up on startup and loses hydraulics on bucket. The power steering and rear hitch is fine. I have replaced hydraulic control box for loader, checked fluid level, checked main filter, and cant figure it out. Fluid was changed a yr ago when a new hydraulic pump was put on. So i havent checked pickup screen but that was cleaned last november and not too dirty on 2000hr unit. Im leaning on a cylinder gone bad? But how would all four go bad. Is there a check valve on right lift cylinder thatd block flow to remaining 3. Please help and thank you

Also, if i try to move bucket i can see them twitch like the cylinders are trying to work. Tore joystick apart, it and the cables to box look ok. It does this every time. Just once as i lifted did bucket slowly settle down as if it were losing pressure. When pump went bad last yr i lost steering. Steering works fine, just bucket. If i let it rest for a bit does same thing

Have you disconnected/reconnected all hyd quick couplers? I'd suggest to acquire a hyd gauge and monitor hyd pressure.

Yea, pulled the hoses when changing control box. Thing that gets me is power steering works so thats getting full pump pressure. Last time pump went the steering went

I forgot to update on this thread the problem was a a stuck rear hitch relief valve. Fixed itself bouncing around field. Go figure

Update, i like seeing updates so thought I'd leave one. The problems started again, took valve apart to find screen material from the pickup screen. Yes the screen thats meant to protect hydraulics tried to ruin them. Unreal jd, i threw that screen away, what was left of it. Spent a day with pto/ axle cover off fishing bits of material out the rear end. So far all good now several months later. New screen around 180 from jd, pretty pricey imo.

Anyone hear of this? I dont like not having a pickup screen but i dont like this happening. I figure long as i dont chip any rear end gears nothing to major will pass and it does still have the actual hydro filter

Thanks for update. I agree $180 for a screen is very pricey. Price I found at my local JD dealer was a lot cheaper.
