- Kubota R510 Wheel Loader + Cab and backhoe, JD 6200 Open Station, Cushman 6150, 4x4, ten foot 56 hp Kubota diesel hydraulic wing mower, Steiner 430 Diesel Max, Kawasaki Diesel Mule, JD 4x2 Electric Gator
This loader had two OEM Female Pioneer couplers out front. They had an integral ball valve and a drain hole (I believe) that I never saw a drop of oil come out of.
To disconnect the implement, you would close the two valves and I never had a problem disconnecting the couplings. Disconnecting the couplers at mid tractor to remove the loader was another matter.
This circuit was electrically operated on the rear valve stack of the tractor. Closed Center. If you turned on the keyswitch, you will hear clicking at the valve when operating the toggle switch atop the joystick.
But nothing happens. I suspect it is some kind of a servo arrangement and you need the tractor running to operate the valve. So you start the tractor, operate the valve one way, then shut off, disconnect that side and then repeat the proceedure for the other.
Now comes my problem. I am changing the pioneer couplers with their integral ball valves for flat face connectors, and this one side having pressure will cause me grief! I need to depressurize both sides.
Any ideas? Has anyone seen such integral ball valves with a 3/8" flat faced male and female connector? If they existed, I would put them on my Kubota loader as well, rather then having to shut off the machine every time I want to connector or disconnect the couplers. Thanks.
Incidentally, I am doing this as I aquired an adapter that allows use of my SS attachments of which I have more then the 640 style.
