Hi, I have a 1998 JD 6210 and i keep blowing fuse "F114 ELX 30Amp" which kills all of my electronics (but the motor still runs fine), no dash display, no forward reverse, no anything electronic. It seems to happen when you get to a cartain amount of revs around 17-1800RPM then the fuse blows. Motor still runs so have ruled out wires on fuel injector etc. Am wondering wether relay K101 is anything to do with the issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Matt

If you know how to use a multi meter, set it on "continuity",
remove the fuse in question, on one side the fuse gets "power", it's the other side you'll be testing.
Put one probe of the tester in the fuse 'slot" ( the other side of the power feed ) and ground the other probe, you should here a "continuous beep" ( because you have a short to ground somewhere )
now start removing fuses and relays until the "beep" stops. this will tell you what circuit the short is in.
Then, check all the wiring in that circuit for a short. Do this with the key "off', even better, disconnect the batters positive for this test. Somewhere, there is a wire or a device that is grounding out, this is why your fuse keeps blowing, Good luck.

While I am not a tractor mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, I have worked on electrical "stuff" for many years, and skyhooks advice is spot on with one small exception. If this is only occuring at s700 - 1800 RPM I suspect that your short is being caused by vibration and it probably won't show up in the test described above. If it doesn't, you might try turning on the key switch without starting the tractor. Then wiggle wires around until the fuse blows. When it does, you are well on your way to fixing it. Follow the wires you wiggled looking for some cracked insulation, or what we in the electrical field call "cat whiskers" these are single strands of wire, usually found at a connection that are sticking out from something like a crimped connector.
Best of luck and let us know what you find!!!

Thanks a bunch for that guys. Im going to give it a try tomorrow with both ideas. I used the tractor last night for 2 hrs set at 1680RPM and it ran fine when I got home I gave it a bit of a rev and yep, soon as it got over 1700RPM she blew. Will let you know how I go.
