JD 750, loader and backhoe stopped working - scratching noise video

When I went to the JD dealership to get hydraulic fluid for my 870 they said I could buy the JD Hygard or the generic stuff in the blue bucket. I went with the generic blue bucket, plus whatever I had on my shelf from 20 plus years ago. That would be another bucket of generic fluid and a small quantity of Hyguard. I supposedly needed 5 gallons and used closer to 7 gallons.

On my tractor the pump is up by the front of the engine. i think it is gear driven. My tractor has power steerng and I am pretty sure it works off the same pump and the loader.

I would fill that up right to the top of the dipstick line just to see if the problem goes away. Maybe inspect the screen and filter. Make sure the supply hoses leading to the pump have no kinks.

Bubba uses the oil recommended by the John Deere parts counter for his JD tractor!

Hey Everyone, thanks for the input. I ended up replacing the screen, because the current screen had a lot of fine crap in it that I couldn't satisfyingly wash out, and refilling it with the same Multitrac fluid after verifying it does meet all of the specs my owners manual calls for (http://www.warrenoil.com/msds-spec/pds/coastal/PDS - Coastal Multitrac Tractor Fluid.pdf). Now the hydraulics work great and no more scratching. However, now my clutch won't disengage at all! I can jam it into first or reverse while in low, otherwise it starts to grind. The clutch worked perfectly fine right before I replaced all the oil. I thought maybe it had a hydraulic slave cylinder that needed to be bled since I drained all the fluid, but now I am reading it is a manual clutch (Field Test: John Deere 750 | Ran When Parked). I found this guy (I cannot get my John Deere 750 tractor to shift into gear.) who seemingly had the same issue and just has to adjust the clutch pedal linkage, but that would seem odd considered it was adjusted correctly before this issue with the hydraulics, or is it possible for these things to be just enough out of adjustment that it needs to be readjusted after a while?
