JD 755 Losing power under load

When you say it takes a minute to recover, do you mean the tractor regains it's full power?
The 755's are great machines, but are fairly low powered (as was my old 670).
Is it possible you're just running it hard and bogging it down?

it could also be a worn injection pump. start with the obvious, filters
etc, and go from there.

I had the same issue with my 755 JD, The fuel tank was loaded with that greenish/black algae which caused ( I believe ) the electric lift pump to fail. It cost me like $ 40 bucks. There is also a screen in the tank that was plugged , this happened at 600 hrs. I bought the machine second hand, who knows what kind of fuel they put in it???? Hope this helps

When that electric pump starts to go, it will loose power under load and eventually not run above an idle, First filters, then try cleaning out the tank and screen. The hood heeds to come of to get the tank off for proper cleaning .
