JD 755 Question Re: Hydrolics

I want to run my 755 with the mower deck attached and keep the bush hog on the three point. Is there anyway to raise and lower the deck independently from the three point hitch? Am I missing something? Also can anyone recommend a quick hitch system for this three point? Thanks for the input in advance.

For a quick hitch I would recommend the iMatch or PEC (Pats Easy Change). My personal preference is the iMatch-but I have the tools/know-how to modify non-standard attachments to fit it.

JD sells a "lock-up" kit for some of the newer tractors like my 4110, basically chains that holds the weight of the deck when it's raised to allow the 3PH to go up and down. The chains and turnbuckles can be seen in these pictures.

Deere sold a mid rockshaft hydraulic lift kit that was an option on these tractors. I had one installed on the three 855s and one 955 that I owned over several years.

THe kit changed the mid mower lift operation from the rockshaft (three point) operation to the dual selective control lever that runs the front end loader operation. If you had the loader on the mower would lift and drop when you used the loader but you could lock up the mower in the highest position so it wasn't a problem. It was around a $200 option back then.

This kit was intended to do exactly what you want. I believe Deere discontinued production of the 55s series tractors around 1995 so the kit may longer be available but you should be able to put it together through parts.

I've seen those kits come upon eBay on occasions. There's one up right now, ends today.
