Anyone out there with experience using a backhoe on the JD 790? what's the clearance with the frame mounted backhoe?

Hi Fred, I have a #7 backhoe for my 790. The permanent subframe on the tractor runs from the loader brackets straight back to the rear axle housing. It is the same height as those two points along the entire length. It really doesn't reduce the clearance any as it is the same height as those points. The backhoe itself sits a bit lower and of course, greatly reduces your departure angle off the rear. There's a picture in this thread of my tractor with and without the backhoe, but I'm not sure you'll see what you need. If you want more info, including measurements let me know. My tractor is in the garage but I just tarped the backhoe for the winter /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
