JD 790 Brakes

I am interested in the JD 790. When comparing it with other low horsepower tractors I find that most have wet disc brakes while the 790 has dry shoe brakes. Which is best and for what reasons?

Wet brakes are supposed to last longer then dry types.

However, as a residential owner putting about 70 hours (give or take 10 hours) per year, I don't think you'd see much difference.

790 is a tough little tractor...more or a medium HP then low HP sized machine.
It's an old design though.
