I have a 790 with the two way remote for the loader. I am looking at having an extension made to get from the outlets under my right platform front to go over the right rear axle to the back of the tractor. Has anyone done this? I called the local dealer and they said the one Deere makes is $160 and it only comes with the smaller male ends the same as what is on the loader. I would like to adapt them up to the pioneer ends like what they use on the larger tractors. Surely I can have something made like this without spending $160 can't I?

Just a note: This question would be better answered in the Hydraulics forum:D.

The kit that JD sells is 4 pre-made hoses and a brackets to mount the QD's at the rear of the tractor. You will be hard pressed to get 4 hoses made locally with QD's for $160.00.

Why do you need the larger style QD's? What do you have planned for the rear outlets?

I really only need two hoses. I am just looking at if I want to use my father-in-law's sickle mower, a wagon with a hoist, pull a two bottom plow or moving equipment around, etc. I would need it to raise and lower them. It isn't like I am going to be running a 15ft batwing mower or anything like that. I am the only person in my family that has a compact tractor. Everyone else has the full size tractors that have the pioneer ends. I didn't think it would cost too much to make and adapt two hoses up to pioneer female ends long enough to get to the back of the tractor from under the front of the deck platform. Plus, with the capacity of the 3ph at only 800lbs I am looking at using a bale mover that is the pull type with a cylinder to lift. Eventually I would like to get a bigger tractor but, I think I can make this one work for now if I can do this.

Russ, I just bought the kit you are talking about. Everything included plus a well made sheath to run hoses thru, simple installation. I had to have two short hoses made up, 2 ft. each and it cost $70+ to have this done at dealer with the couplers installed. Kenny is right about the cost of the kit. I checked and it was way cheaper just buying the kit.
