Thank you. That should get me going on the repair.
Maybe a repair or maybe look at the 'other' controls under the seat. That Troubleshooting section walks you thru those to see if it's a repair of simple maintenance.
For example, you can turn the flower knob both ways until it comes to a full stop. Then place it back to the beginning again.
Next, there is a tiny lever under the seat. If it got bumped, the 3PT lift acts screwy. Here it is on my YM2500/YM2610 aka JD850/JD950. You may need to flip it to various places to change the lift/drop speed of the 3PT.
Lastly before opening up the hydraulic control system, when was the last time the filter and fluid was changed? And if changed, it better be J20C for our Deere and Yanmars. Anything else is crap. Here are 2 formulas that are to the J20C. There are others found at Farm & Fleet, TSC, ASC, and Rural King. It has to 'meet' J20C and not be compatible-with J20C.
Our 2 machines are nearly 95% identical. So, changing the fluid and cleaning the hydraulic filter is identical.
