JD 855 Headlight equivalents

Can anyone tell me what the auto parts store equivalent for the headlight for a JD 855 tractor would be. I can only locate a JD Part Number and of course the listings i our local Autozone does not include tractors.

It should be an 1156 bulb. That's what my 855 takes. Should be very easy to find.

Jay, thanks for the note. I double checked my manual and discovered I had neglected an important reference. I was looking for replacements for the fender mounted, sealed beam lighrts, not the front light bank which uses the GE 1156 bulb. Those were out too so I appreciate the advice there. Any thoughts on the fender mounted lights. The JD part number is AM 102023 if that is any guidance.

For the hood lights on x55s, anyone tried to change the standard 27watt bulb with the 38watt 1195 or 1295 ? I have a loader so the fender lights are not very useful. I want to have real headlights in the hood but don't want to melt anything.

I too am looking for more light on the subject. My 855 has a loader too and every watt helps, but I am a bit concerned that increasing the wattage will overload the circuit. Any thoughts on this side of the topic. Thanks.
