My JD 950 3 point lift operates really fast and the total movement of the lever is about 3/4" which makes it difficult to control implement height. Is there a way to adjust the travel of the lever to get more motion from fully up to down?
Your machine is really a Yanmar in JD green paint.
In the TM1192 manual in section 50, group 15, it covers those controls under the seat.
- The flower looking knob
- The flow speed control lever to the hydraulic piston
- The rear lift lock
- Draft control, if equipped. (optional setup)
- Power Beyond
Try moving the little lever under the seat some. Rotating it just about 10 degrees at a time and try the 3PT lift.
Make sure the dial flower looking knob is all the way to open. Don't force it to a hard stop in either direction.
Ignore the multi-speed PTO lever, the JD950 only has 540.
Some of the JD 50 Series just like their YM twins have the rear PTO lock. Make sure this is not set in the back.
