John Deere 955
I have a John Deere 955 that's pedals seem to stick in forward and reverse if its below about 30, just have to tap or press the opposite pedal to stop it and wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with hydro tractors. Local hydraulics guy said it could be that previous owner topped tank off with regular hydro oil when it is supposed to be JD hydro oil, Dad swears he changed it to that a few years ago. Any suggestions would be great.

If you lay under the tractor and look up inside the opening in the tranny housing (engine off!!!!) while you work the pedal you will see a roller bearing riding up and down a "V" if this bearing/roller gets dry and quits rolling the pedals have a very hard time returning to center.
I have PDF's of the tractor tech, engine tech, and parts panual you're welcome to, shoot me your email if wanted

So you're saying part #25 from the second pic goes inside part #21 from the first? I have found the JD parts and schematic website that they use in the store so I should be able to get the part numbers. Is there a chance that the grease in the bearing could thicken in the cold temps? I'll take a look at it tomorrow to make sure it even has grease but that would be my first guess. Thanks.
